Important Information for Agencies
Adoption UK can help agencies fulfil their duties of providing adoption support services, as required by the Adoption and Children Act 2002. We have been providing support to adoptive families for over 30 years and have a vast range of services which can be tailored to individual agencies’ needs.

Agency Membership of Adoption UK
Adoption UK membership enables agencies to keep in close touch with the needs of adopters and access the following range of services:
- Two free individual memberships for families and a discounted rate on further memberships funded by your agency
- Two free copies of our bi-monthly magazine, Adoption Today, packed with information, articles, updates and details of services available
- Two free copies of family finding magazine Children Who Wait before it is sent to individual members, ensuring agencies are prepared to receive calls about children featured
- Reduction in price of additional magazines for social workers to £38 per person per year for both magazines (full rate £49)
- A copy of two new publications
- Reduced advertising rates for featuring children in Children Who Wait magazine and online
- An Online Community, available 24-7 with special features for agencies, including web links and the option to publicise events on our events calendar
- A Helpline offering information on a wealth of adoption related issues, help and support for adopters, useful websites, publications and more
- Discounted rates for some of our popular training programmes
- The range of adoption related cards and publications in our Online Shop. Agencies can be invoiced directly and receive discounts on bulk purchases
- Links with Adoption UK’s volunteer coordinators who run support groups and work closely with social workers. To find out about support groups in your area click here
- Links with our staff, including:
1. Our Agency Development Worker, to discuss ways of funding your adopters’ membership of Adoption UK and other requirements
2. Discussing membership requirements with our Membership Services Manager
3. Setting up support groups in your area with our Volunteers’ Support Manager
4. Adoption Support Coordinators to provide extra support to members and liaise with Adoption Support Services Advisers
Adoption Support
Are you taking advantage of all the support services available to your adopters from Adoption UK? Not only that, but our local groups are all run by adoptive parents, reassuring your adopters and helping them with parenting issues common to adopted children.
