New Adoption UK website

Adoption UK is preparing to launch a new and improved Online Community this week.

Work to switch from the current Adoption UK website to the new site will take place from Tuesday.

We've tried to combine the best bits of the old site with some new and fresh ideas, so hopefully we haven't lost any of the former website's appeal, but gained a much improved and more effective site.

Hopefully the new site will also be much easier for people to navigate - to move around and find the information they are looking for.

Some of the fantastic new features available include:

• New sections with information for adopters at different stages of the process, from  those finding out about adoption for the first time, to those looking for support after placement
• A search engine for the site to make finding information quicker and easier
• Blogs for adopters to run their own online diaries, and to help Adoption UK keep our members up to date with our work

While the transition takes place, users can expect considerable disruption, and the website will need to close for a short period of time – possibly several hours.

Once the switch has been made users may not be able to access the site while their ISP (Internet Service Providers) log the location of the new site.

So please bear with us while we go through this transitional period.
